Get ready for an epic summer of thrills and fun at Universal Orlando Resort! On April 29th, the resort unveiled a wave of exciting announcements that promise to transform your Universal vacation. From the all-new Dreamworks Land, to a new nighttime Harry Potter show. Here's a look at what's in store:
DreamWorks Land Opening Date Announced: On June 14, 2024, the highly anticipated DreamWorks Land will finally open at Universal Studios Florida! This vibrant new area brings together beloved characters from Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda for immersive experiences for the whole family. Below is a brief overview of what you can expect to explore in this brand-new land.
Trolltastic Thrills: Soar through the whimsical world of Trolls on the all-new Trollercoaster, a family-friendly adventure where you'll escape from spooky spiders with Poppy, Branch, and their friends.
Kung Fu Fun: Train alongside Po in Po's Kung Fu Training Camp, where you can learn the secrets of the Dragon Warrior and unleash your inner master.
Shrek's Swamp Meet & Greet: Mingle with Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey in their very own swamp.
DreamWorks Imagination Celebration: Prepare to be dazzled by a brand new live show featuring your favorite DreamWorks characters coming to life on stage.
As a part of Dreamworks Land, new merchandise will be available including bubble wands that will activate fun features when interacting with other wands and will also interact with select Universal Mega Movie Parade floats when the parade debuts on July 3!
“Universal Mega Movie Parade” Marches In: Get ready for a cinematic celebration on the streets of Universal Studios Florida! The all-new Universal Mega Movie Parade will bring iconic scenes and characters from blockbuster films like Despicable Me, Jurassic Park, E.T., and Ghostbusters, to life in a vibrant parade experience. This will be a daytime parade with 13 new floats and nearly 100 performers!

“Cinesational”: Experience a cinematic journey at the Universal Studios Florida lagoon. Prepare to be wowed by a dazzling display of lights and music to the magic of Harry Potter, the pulse-pounding thrills of Jurassic World, and the gripping suspense of Jaws. The next-level lagoon show will feature 228 fountains that reach heights up to 131 feet, incredible 4K projection mapping, an original composition featuring newly arranged scores meticulously crafted for each scene, and more than 600 drones!

“Hogwarts Always”: At Islands of Adventure, prepare to embark on a journey of iconic moments of a school year at Hogwarts. This projection show on Hogwarts Castle will also feature four different endings that celebrate each Hogwarts house and will culminate with a colorful pyrotechnic display
Summer Tribute Store Gets Nostalgic!: Gear up for some nostalgia with the return of the Summer Tribute Store. Universal Orlando’s Summer Tribute Store will complement the new parade experience and feature themed rooms, merchandise, and photo ops inspired by some of the films that will be seen in the Universal Mega Movie Parade.
