Goofy’s Kitchen Disneyland Character Dining Guide
Right at the Disneyland Hotel you can have a meal cooked by Chef Goofy himself…and dine with some of his friends we know and love! Goofy’s Kicthen offers a character dining experience in Disneyland that will make your trip extra special. Located at the Disneyland Hotel, you can choose to have breakfast or dinner with Goofy and pals. This article will be your guide to everything you need to know about dining at Goofy’s Kitchen Disneyland.
Goofy’s Kitchen Reservations
In my honest opinion, one of my least favorite parts of planning a Disney vacation is the dining reservation fiasco. For all Disneyland dining reservations, you can begin booking 60 days in advance. You can use the Disneyland app to reserve your spot at restaurants in Disneyland, Downtown Disney, California Adventures, and the on-site hotels. Surprisingly, this reservation wasn’t too hard to get! The whole dining reservation process was a lot easier for Disneyland than what I’ve experienced in Disney World but that's a story for another day!
Anyways, we were able to grab a dinner reservation 60 days out from the day we were visiting Goofy Kitchen. However, if you missed the dining reservation window I highly recommend using a service like Mouse Watcher. I've used their service for multiple dining reservations and I have always been able to get the almost exact reservation I was looking for with multiple options. It’s $5, but if you really have your heart set on eating at Goofy’s Kitchen, I recommend it. You also may be able to join a Mobile Dine Walk-Up List at the restaurant if there is availability.
Once you have your reservation and it’s time to eat at Goofy’s Kitchen, you can use the Mobile Check In feature on the Disneyland App to check in on your phone. When your check-in window arrives, you simply click the check in button and follow the questions they ask. They will call out your party’s name once they are ready to seat you. This is helpful because there seems to be a congestion always in front of Goofy’s Kitchen so to avoid the crowd in font of the check-in stand, use the mobile check in feature.
Goofy’s Kitchen Characters
The main draw of Goofy’s Kitchen is of course, our favorite friends! The Characters at Goofy’s Kitchen are typically Minnie, Chip ‘n’ Dale and Pluto. They all have on adorable chef outfits as they help their pal Goofy in the kitchen. The characters at Goofy’s Kitchen (hopefully all of them) will stop by your table so you can take pictures or get their autograph! In our experience, we didn’t get to see Pluto. Either we missed him while we were getting food or he just didn’t cycle around to us in our time there.
Goofy’s Kitchen Photos
Goofy is usually found outside the restaurant taking photos with guests before they come in and try out his food! Goofy’s Kitchen photos are included in the dining experience and you can find them on your Disneyland app. One photo comes with the Goofy’s Kitchen border and the others are just plain you and Goofy. Our Photopass photographer didn’t rush us, our photos came out great!
About twice per hour, Goofy’s Kitchen will turn into a character parade! The music will turn up typically to the song “It’s a Good Time” and guests can have a ball waving their napkins in the air as the characters dance around the restaurant. Kids will get a kick out of this and it will be something to always remember!
Goofy’s Kitchen Prices
At Goofy’s Kitchen, Chef Goofy and friends help serve either breakfast or dinner. Both options are “all you can eat” buffet style meals. This means that you will pay one price per person to dine there. If your family is all about buffet style meals, then this option is great for you! I always try to get my moneys worth at buffets so don’t be shy going up to get second or third servings! So let’s get into “How much does goofy's kitchen cost?”
Goofy’s Kitchen breakfast price is $49 per adult and $29 per child ages 3 to 9 before tax and gratuity. Tax and 18% gratuity are automatically added to the bill.
Goofy’s Kitchen prices for dinner after tax and tip, is $69.93 for adults and $40.49 for kids. The adult beverages are not included in this price so those drinks can make your bill increase in price by a decent amount. You pay your server at the end of the meal.
Adult beverages can range from $15-$19.50 for cocktails such as margaritas, mojito and mules. Goofy’s Kitchen also serves beer and hard cider. A glass of Budweiser will cost you $8.50 and hard cider around $9. Guests 21 and over can also choose from a variety of white, red, and rosé wine ranging from $11-$21 per glass. Non-alcoholic “mocktails" are available as well for an additional $6 per glass.
Goofy’s Kitchen Breakfast
If you choose to enjoy the “breakfast” buffet at Goofy’s Kitchen, the hours are typically from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. The breakfast buffet has breakfast and brunch options that can be great for the whole family. If you ever have dined at a buffet at Disneyland or Disney World, you can expect the same experience. If you never have experienced a Disney buffet, you can expect a large variety of food that is family friendly. The buffet always has a kid’s section with the staples for kids to enjoy like mac and cheese and chicken fingers (yes, even for breakfast). At Goofy's Kitchen character breakfast you can expect to enjoy, Mickey pancakes, Mickey waffles (a fan favorite), scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, hash browns, French toast, bacon and more. During breakfast, you can get a made-to-order omelet which is always a great buffet option. There are many other classic breakfast options such as yogurt, cereal, and avocado toast.
Breakfast with goofy and pals can be a great way to start your day at Disneyland or end your trip before you have to hop on a flight back home. And you know, breakfast wouldn’t be complete without an array of desserts at Goofy’s.
Goofy’s Kitchen Dinner
The Disneyland Hotel offers the only dinner character meal at Disneyland right here at Goofy’s Kitchen. Guests can enjoy dinner typically from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. For the full Goofys Kitchen menu for dinner, check out my YouTube video as I show off all the dinner options that Goofy’s Kitchen offers during dinner!
You want to definitely take advantage of what they are serving at the carving station. I will give a quick Goofy’s Kitchen review of the food I had. I had turkey and sirloin steak. The turkey was the highlight for me, it was delicious! I enjoyed a lot of options in the kid’s station. I love buffets because I can eat all I want from the kid’s station. I tried out Goofy’s Pizza, it wasn’t bad! It was your typical buffet pizza but I happily ate my slice. Mac and cheese, season vegetables and the chicken tenders were also great. I got a side salad as well and they had various salad options that you could enjoy.
Dessert at Goofy’s Kitchen was a bit disappointing if we’re being honest. There is a lot of hype around the peanut butter and jelly pizza. The good thing about this dinner is that you can try anything with no penalty because it’s all included. I recommend just trying anything that peaks your interest. Nothing really stood out to me, although, they did have so many options that I’m sure you could find something to enjoy. Once again, you can check out my video for more Goofy's Kitchen reviews.

Your little ones will just love getting autographs from the characters and this is such a great place to do it since you see a bunch of Disney characters. You can purchase the autograph book at the gift shop and pens. We noticed that the pens do break easily so you might want to bring your own for backup.
Goofy’s Kitchen Disneyland accepts Magic Key and Disney Visa card discounts
Don’t be afraid to ask to see a character if you missed them while at the buffet.
Overall, the Goofy’s Kitchen character dinner is a great option if you are looking for that character dining experience. Like many other character meals, you are paying to see the characters and get that close up interaction with them. It’s a great experience if you think your party will be able to eat enough that would make it worth the price or you want those one on one character interactions that are typically crowded in the parks.
